Sauna For Seniors is a non-profit organization with the mission of expanding awareness of the potential benefits of and access to heat therapy for senior citizens in our local communities. Sauna For Seniors donates pre-fabricated electric sauna units by senior centers and 55+ communities, provides education about the potential health benefits of heat therapy, and supports continued scientific and medical research on heat therapy.

Our Mission
Sauna for Seniors was the result of the intersection of a student's interest in the life sciences, volunteer work at a local assisted living facility, and the experience of building a traditional Finnish sauna from scratch in the backyard.
Increasing access to heat therapy for senior citizens in the Philadelphia area as a complement to other wellness and medical interventions represents a potential opportunity to improve health outcomes at low cost and with a high return on investment.
