About Sauna For Seniors

Sauna For Seniors is a non-profit organization with the mission of expanding awareness of the potential benefits of and access to heat therapy for senior citizens in our local communities. Sauna For Seniors donates pre-fabricated electric sauna units to senior centers and 55+ communities, provides education about the potential health benefits of heat therapy, and supports continued scientific and medical research on heat therapy.

Sauna For Seniors – Making the potential health benefits of heat therapy more accessible to senior citizens in the Philadelphia area. 

Sauna for Seniors was the result of the intersection of a student's interest in science, volunteer work at a local assisted living facility, and the experience of building a traditional Finnish sauna from scratch in the backyard.

Increasing access to heat therapy for senior citizens in the Philadelphia area as a complement to other wellness and medical interventions represents a potential opportunity to improve health outcomes at low cost and with a high return on investment.
